In an effort to be a blessing to our community our church will spend Sunday afternoon on March 16th helping our neighbors. We will start the morning with our Sunday School Lesson on “One Anothering” at 10 A.M. and then we will have our normally scheduled morning worship service at 11 A.M. Following that we will provide lunch for anyone who wishes to join us and then head out to help our neighbors clean up their yards and the City Park.
If you are interested in helping with this effort you can, 1. come to the service(s) at 10 and 11; 2. join us for a hot, home cooked mean at 12:30; or 3) call the church phone number (remember to let it ring until someone answers or you get the pastor’s voicemail box, he will call you back if you leave a message).
As you probably know, Perryville is no stranger to strong storms and tornados. Heartland Baptist Church has helped with each of the tornados that have touched our community for the past 25 years. We come along side of neighbors in the Crosstown tornado, and then in 2017 we helped clean up after the tornado passed just north of Perryville and out by Sereno.
If you have been affected by this storm our church would love to do what we can to help you get back on your feet. Please call the church number if you need assistance, prayer support, or we can provide a place for you to shower and rest.
The Schedule:
10 A.M. Sunday School: How to Be One to Another
11 A.M. Worship Service: Singing and A Message from the pastor
12:30 P.M. Lunch for Everyone provided by the Church Families
1:00 P.M. Form Teams and head out to clean up storm damage
Food will be available at the Church Building until we run out or the cleanup team returns.
